Haka Login method for Haaga-Helia students and staff

When you use Haka login method, you can access electronic resources (e.g. e-articles, e-books, e-journals), which are available for the students and staff of Haaga-Helia.

Link your library card to your account in order to renew your loans, place reservations and pay fines.

  1. On top of the screen, click Login and choose HAKA login
  2. Click icon Haka Login and then type your Haaga-Helia user ID (e.g. bxx123) and password
  3. Read and accept terms and conditions
  4. Link your Haaga-Helia library card, or your Haaga-Helia Tuudo's mobile card, to your account (this has to be done only once)
  5. You have gotten your PIN code from library, or when you created your Tuudo mobile card. You can change the PIN: Your Account > Profile
  6. If you have forgotten your PIN code, you can recover PIN code by using this link
  7. If you have problems with your PIN code, contact the library
  8. Watch a YouTube video on how to connect your library card and manage your loans (1:25 min, NB! no subtitles)

Remember to log out and close the Web browser - especially if you are using a public computer.

N.B. When you finish your studies, or your employment ends in Haaga-Helia UAS, your Haaga-Helia user ID expires. Your UAS username and password will not be valid anymore, neither will be the account you have created in HH Finna. You should save important information (e.g. your Favourites) from your Finna account somewhere else in good time. After that you can still login to HH Finna with your library card and PIN code.

Login with your library card

When you login with your library card, you can e.g. renew loans, place requests and pay fines and fees. However, using this login method you can't access materials and internal services which require Haaga-Helia user ID.

  1. On top of the screen, click Login
  2. Login with the library card that was activated at the Haaga-Helia campus library (type your library card number and PIN code)
  3. Read and accept terms and conditions
  4. If you have forgotten your PIN code, you can recover PIN code by using this link
  5. If you have problems with your PIN code, contact the library
  6. N.B. The request is sent to library's customer services, so you don't get the new PIN code immediately. The processing of the request might take one weekday.

Remember to log out and close the Web browser - especially if you are using a public computer.

Expiration of Finna account

Finna account data is automatically deleted once more than 18 months have passed since you last logged into the service.

If your account expires you will lose favorites and saved researches that have been stored in your account. However, Finna account expiration doesn't end your customer relationship with 3UAS-libraries, nor revoke your borrowing privileges.

You will receive an automated email from Finna before the Finna account expires. You can keep your account active by logging in with your old credentials.

N.B. Accounts created using Haka login method (=Haaga-Helia user ID and password) and library card login method are two separate accounts. For example, as a student/a staff member, you may have used both login methods. Then, you have two accounts in HH Finna. If you receive an email that your account is expiring, check from email which account it is.
