Library cards

General information

Library card is needed for checking out books and other physical materials from the library.
A personal PIN code comes with the library card. You need the PIN code when you check out books with a lending machine at the library or when you log into your account in HH Finna.
Each customer has only one library card to 3AMK Libraries. If you use the traditional plastic library card in parallel with Tuudo library app, they both have the same card number and PIN code.
Library card is not needed when you read ebooks or use other licensed e-materials.

You can get a traditional plastic library card from any 3AMK campus library within the library service hours.
Presenting a valid ID document is required. Library rules have to be accepted.
You can apply online for a traditional library card.

After you've got your traditional library card, you can find it's barcode in HH Finna at Your Account -> Library Cards-page.
You can use the barcode on your smart phone and use it for checking out books the same way as you use the traditional library card.

Haaga-Helia students and staff can have a library card in their smart phone through a Tuudo mobile app.
Tuudo library app has a barcode that enables checking out books with the library lending machines.
Tuudo app sends due date alerts and shows your loans and reservations.
Loans can be renewed one loan at a time.
Messages for awaiting holds will arrive to Tuudo with a one day delay.
Tuudo shows library opening hours and locations at campuses.
You can chat online with Haaga-Helia library staff.
Reserving, paying the library fines or updating your account information is not possible in Tuudo app. They can be done only when you are logged into HH Finna.

Tuudo app is available for Android and iOS devices through Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Log in with Haka credentials (Haaga-Helia user ID and password).

If you already have a traditional plastic 3AMK library card, Tuudo library card will be added automatically when you enter Library subpage in Tuudo. You can start using it right away.
If you don't have a traditional plastic 3AMK library card, go to Library subpage in Tuudo and click Add library card link. Fill in the form. After you've activated the Tuudo library card, log into HH Finna using Haka login. Add your library card number and the PIN code to your account.

If you already have a traditional plastic 3AMK library card, go to Library subpage in Tuudo and click Add library card. Type your library card number and PIN code. You can start using your Tuudo library card right after that.
If you don't have a traditional plastic 3AMK library card, you can't have a library card in Tuudo.

Tuudo app and Tuudo library card is available during your studies or work contract in Haaga-Helia.
When you have left Haaga-Helia, you may be able to use Tuudo for a short while until the system forces you to sign in.
Note that your Haaga-Helia nor 3AMK library customership does not end with Tuudo app. If a library card is still needed, get a traditional plastic card from the library to replace the Tuudo library card.
